Edward Francis Moskal, 92, of Piscataway, died Dec. 12, 2013 at Lyons VA Nursing Home in Lyons NJ. He was born in Brooklyn,moved to Bayonne, and graduated from St. Peterís Prep School in 1941 and the University of Notre Dame in 1951. He served in the Marines in WWII, fighting in the 4th Marine Division as a member of the Fleet Marine Force in the Pacific Theater of Operations and on Iwo Jima. His wife Frances died in 2004. Ed was an engineer for Engineers Inc. in Newark for 8 years before his retirement several years ago.
Ed enjoyed traveling, photography,the opera and listening to classical music. But most of all, he enjoyed spending quality time with his family.
Surviving is a son Edward of Sparta, 2 daughters Anne Zelinski of Point Pleasant, Frances Moskal of Piscataway and 4 grandchildren, Angelo, Christina, Eddie, & Tommy and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting will be Sun. 2-5 PM at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave., Dunellen. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated on Mon at 10AM at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Piscataway, where he was a communicant. Entombment will be at the University of Notre Dame, Cedar Grove Cemetery, Indiana.
